A new direction

This has been an interesting month. I have been writing blogs and articles for years but felt tied down and unable to express myself. What is a person to do? I felt the only thing to do was go back to WordPress and write the way I desired, free of censorship.
I have written article on behalf of other and written article to benefit those for whom I supported but what about myself? Have I not the right to put these concerns in my own words?
I am not self centered! I am deeply concerned for the needs of others and desire to leave a positive foot print upon this earth but I don’t desire my foot prints to follow the direction of others.
I hope those who followed my articles and blogs will continue to follow my posts on WordPress, I will continue to write and express the concerns of those who feel they have no voice in this society but I will now write about these concerns in my own word.
Freedom, it feels good!

This is what Jesus would do

I met a small child today

She came over with my son to play

She only had a corn dog to eat

The child said with a smile

Mommy gave me the last one

Her daddy had a heart attack

The child did not understand that

What can you expect when you are only a small child

I spoke to the mother and ask with some wonder

How is your family doing tonight

She began to tell me a story

How her husband had worried

Struggled and felt shame

I told her not to worry

And leave this with me

I know a few friends who deeply believe

Christ died for our sins

So we should all be friends and

Help our brothers and sisters in need

Tonight I praise God, because this issues

Is resolved

The child has food and can be fed

The mothers utilities has been paid

Without any delays, because

This is what Jesus would do

Give your angels charge over them

Protect them in this land

The meek shall inherit the earth

Merciful father, I have no food in my stomach and my brother has no desire to feed me. “…how can the love of God be in him” 1 John 3:17

Merciful father, my brother mocks me. “….he alone will suffer” Proverbs 10:12

Merciful father, I am cold and my brother cares not. “Love your brother as yourself.” Romans 13:9

Merciful father, I am sick and my brother cares not. Tell him “be merciful, just as your father is merciful.” Luke 6:36

Merciful father, my brother hordes his money and I am in need. “…where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

Merciful father, what more can I say to my brother? Go to your brother with these words. “…do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your brother. Rather be openhanded and freely give him whatever he needs.” Deuteronomy 14:7

Merciful father, I cry, because of the misery I see. My child the day is coming and I issue this warning to your brother “You have horded wealth in the last days. Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers are crying out against you. The cries of the workers have reached the ears of the Lord God Almighty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self indulgence. You have fattened yourself in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered innocent men, who were not opposing you.” James 5:3-6

Be patient my child, the Lord is coming. “The meek shall inherit the earth” Psalm 37:11

Protect them in this land of the free

Who cries on bended knees

Blessed be the sick

Who suffer silently

As I cry this prayer to thee

Father above all

Home is a place, where families reside

Home is a place, with children inside

Home is a place, where peace should be assured
Home is on a farm
Home is in the mountains
Home is on a coast
Home is in a small town
Home is in a city
It’s been said, “Home is on the range, where the deer and the antelopes play.”
My home is on a farm in the Smokey mountains of Tennessee. My home is where my children are and my wife welcomes me at the end of the day.
No matter where you are, home is where you find love.
No matter where you are, home is where you find comfort.
No matter where you are, home should be a place of joy.
Love, comfort and joy; this I pray you are blessed with, because without it a home is empty.

A child should never have to ask

A child knows the joy of christmas morning

A child knows the cry of sadness and tears

A child knows when its stomach is full

A child knows when there is nothing to eat

A child knows when it’s welcomed and loved

A child knows when it rejected and alone

A parent should know when their child is happy

A parent should know when their child is sad

A parent should know when their child is full and healthy

A parent should know when their child is hungry and sick

A parent should know when to embrace their child with love and care for it

A child should never have to ask, what a parent should freely give.

Children have a secret place.

Hold your children close and show them love everyday,

hold you children close before there on their way,

hold your children close and lead them in their way.

Love has no limits and love is never angry.

Love is always without time and always present.

Love has patients and love has a soft spoken voice.

Love is a parent who puts their children first.

Children are an extension of you and your better part.

Children were given to you and from our saviors heart.

Children hear your words and lock them in a secret place.

Children have a secret place and it’s deep inside their heart.

Give love to your children and ask nothing in return.

Love is a gift that a child should never have to earn.

Give love to your children and peace in their lives.

What you share with your children is the rest of your lives.

Love is never angry, love is never hurtful.

Love is kind and not self-seeking.

Love keeps no records of mistakes.

Love always protects and love always trusts.

Love always hopes for the better.

So hold your children close and tell them you love them.

So hold your children close and tell them you trust them.

Hold your children close and take their small hand.

Someday you will need that hand to lead you.

My destiny

Today I saw my son grow, I noticed the small baby I held in the hospital becoming a man.

Today I saw the clock move, time drifting away, my time on earth getting shorter.

Today I noticed the sunset, this day coming to an end, another day wasted away.

Tomorrow I shall learn a lesson from today, I will not waste another day.

Tomorrow I shall be grateful for the day, and spend more time with my son and not delay.

Tomorrow I shall take that boy where he desires to go, I will spend every moment with him while I can.

Today I can take this pledge, because I can change my destiny that’s held in my hands.

Today I can take this pledge, because I still can show my son I am his dad.

Today I can take this pledge, because he still calls me dad.

Today I can take this pledge, because he still asks to sit in my lap and falls to sleep.

Tomorrow has arrived and it is today, I took him where he desired to go. Today we played tennis and I let him win, because tomorrow he will be so proud. I will listen to his stories of victory, hold him close and say I love you. He will ask to sit in my lap and I will let him do so and watch him fall to sleep. Today I changed my destiny and I am pleased I did so, because tomorrow could be to late. Never wait until tomorrow to show your children you love them.
